our story
All Lyngard lights are designed and manufactured in the UK at the Lyngard factory.
Each light is lovingly made by members of the Lyngard team – from the initial casting of the clay through to the final process of hand decorating, before being carefully packaged and shipped all around the world.
Using Fine Bone China, Lyngard lights offer beautiful translucent shades in plain white or in one of our many hand-decorated finishes.
Every brushstroke tells its own story - hand-painted and hand decorated by our artisans in England.

Our Craft
All Lyngard lights are hand-made in the Lyngard factory. From the initial slip casting, firing and glazing through to hand-painted and decorated finishes - this all takes place under one roof by our skilled Lyngard craftspeople.
Our Craftsmanship
Slip cast
Each Lyngard light is made from Fine Bone China slip - cast in moulds taken from the original hand-carved models produced by Carmen Lyngard.
High Fired
Fired at extreme temperatures, the Fine Bone China body becomes the perfect medium for ceramic lighting - offering strength, tranlucency and beauty.
Hand-painted and hand decorating
All Lyngard lights come in Matte or Gloss White Glazed finishes. Some , though, go through a further process of being hand-painted or decorated. A beautiful craft passed down through the generations.
Assembly & Finishing
Crafted with UK-made components, every Lyngard light is carefully assembled, tested, and beautifully packed before being shipped straight to your door.
